The problem of broken shaft due to too small output of planetary reducer

The correct installation, use and maintenance of the reducer is an important part of ensuring the normal operation of mechanical equipment. Therefore, when you install the planetary precision reducer, you must strictly follow the following installation sequence and carefully assemble it.

Before installation, it should be acknowledged that the motor and planetary reducer are intact, and the dimensions of the parts connected to the drive motor and the reducer should be strictly checked. This refers to the size and cooperation tolerance between the positioning boss and shaft diameter of the drive motor flange and the positioning groove and aperture of the reducer flange; wipe the dirt and burrs on the cooperation surface.

Shaft broken problem caused by too small output of reducer

If the drive motor shaft is not broken, but the output shaft of the reducer is broken, in addition to the poor concentricity of the output end of the reducer, there are the following possible reasons.

First of all, the wrong selection caused the output of the reducer to fail. When selecting models, some users mistakenly believe that only the additional output torque of the selected reducer is sufficient to meet the working requirements, but this is not the case.

First, the additional output torque of the equipped drive motor is multiplied by the speed ratio, and the value obtained is in principle less than the corresponding additional output torque provided by the reducer product sample;

The second is to consider the overload capacity of the drive motor and the greater working torque required in practical use.

Theoretically, the greater working torque required by the user must be less than 2 times the additional output torque of the reducer. Especially in some applications, it is necessary to strictly abide by this rule. This is not only to protect the internal gear and shaft system of the reducer, but also to prevent the output shaft of the reducer from being twisted.

If these factors are not taken into account, once the equipment installation has problems, the output shaft of the reducer is blocked by the load, and the overload capacity of the drive motor will still make it continue to increase its output until the force received by the output shaft of the reducer exceeds The greater the output torque, the shaft will twist off. If the additional output torque of the reducer has a certain margin, the unhealthy condition of twisting the output shaft will be prevented.

Secondly, in the process of acceleration and deceleration, if the instantaneous impact torque received by the output shaft of the reducer exceeds twice its additional output torque, and this acceleration and deceleration are too frequent, the reducer will eventually be broken. axis. If such a situation occurs, careful calculation should be considered to increase the torque margin.
